Corie:

Pizza Bella is a cozy little stop at 1810 & Baltimore in the Crossroads district.  The wood fired pizzas were tasty and reasonably priced.  They’re open until 10pm weekdays and Midnight on weekends.  WhooHoo!!  I can’t wait to stop by Pizza Bella again when all the store front windows are wide open.  (bonus points when you take the Metro to get there!)

Jon:

While Pizza Bella is no Little Caesars, they do still have a few things going for them. Unique wood fire pizzas in a cozy atmosphere for one. This restaurant is one of a handful of ventures run by Rob Dalzell in the Crossroads area. In addition to Pizza Bella, Rob also owns the restaurants 1924 Main, Souperman, and the soon-to-be-opened Chef Burger.

Two Bits:

Corie:

Very cool urban location. The lunch portions seemed a little small but they had some really good varied choices. Everything was tasty! Jon’s dessert was super yummy! A place I would love to check out for dinner! (coolest bathrooms thus far!) =)

Jon:

This place is definitely worth checking out. Make sure you look at their business hours. Reservations are also a good idea.

Thanks for the birthday lunch Corie!

Jon:

This has been one of my favorite pizza places for years. Love their style. Love the staff. Love the pizza by the slice.

They also have some really great hot sandwiches that you can’t miss out on.

Hooray for Tapas! As the La Bodega website states, “Tapas is a way of life. It signifies leisure, camaraderie and good humor” (isn’t camaraderie a great word?). All three of these components found themselves at dinner with us at the Spanish style restaurant on the Boulavard. A warm cozy atmosphere, fire flying and dishes being passed around a table of friends. Good times! I look forward to visiting La Bodega again in the future! =)

Jon:

This was a very fun restaurant! Make sure someone at the table orders the flaming coffee. It is quite a show! Also, be sure to make a reservation as they are very busy!

Corie:

Having never been to a wine bar, I was slightly surprised at the casual pub-like atmosphere of Boozefish. The service was good and the sammich was tasty. More of a spot for a late night-bite and drink than a cozy double date environment. The company was excellent! (i love malonda and cal!). Not a place I would be quick to revisit. (probably because I don’t drink wine!) =)

Jon:

The Good – Wine service was excelent. They make sure anyone drinking wine is happy with their selection.
The Bad – No entree selection. Sandwiches only.
The Ugly – Cal and myself.

Malonda:
